Hi

Thanks to all those that supported this festival last year in whatever way. Plans are underway to make this years even better. We have booked some bands including Transglobal Underground, Tarantism, Subsource, Sicknote and The Baghdaddies...and its all systems go.

We know we have to improve some things so we are working on that too...have added a new chill out venue for in the camping field after hours and we will have a bigger and better selection of food traders. Also we want to improve our recycling so have enlisted an excellent team for the job.

Hope to see you there...steward details will be going up on the website soon, if anyone wants to lend a hand!

Also if anyone knows anyone that runs solar showers at festivals that would be awesome!

:D

Fantastic festival last year, but the veggie food situation was an absolute disgrace. There was nothing to eat on the Friday night apart from chips sold at a burger van. The muppets running the only veggie cafe were completely incompetent. I wouldn't come back to this festival unless I was sure the food was sorted, and I'd give the same advice to any other veggies. We had to walk into the local village for breakfast and ended up driving to a nearby town for food in the evening.

Thanks Atomik, good advice. Well, I may go but if I do I'm taking lots of food :)

Thanks Atomik, good advice. Well, I may go but if I do I'm taking lots of food :)I used to take all my own food to festies when I was skint. I'd spend the whole weekend drooling over all the veggie delights. Now I'm working, I enjoy being able to indulge a bit at festies and not having to worry about carting all that extra crap around. I couldn't believe I was at a festival where there was no veggie food! On the Saturday night, we went to the only veggie place on site to get some food and they told us to come back in a couple of hours when the evening meal would be ready! They were so far beyond shite you couldn't see them for dust. I'm told the veggie cateres were the same people who 'organised' Sunrise. Coincidence? Hmmmm.

Yes I agree...the food situation was more than dire...it was appalling...and we are very very sorry about the cock up :o ...even I had to go home to feed my family as we're veggie too (last thing I wanted to do when I was in the thick of it organising a festival!). We were completely let down...and thats that. So...this year we are not relying on just one veggie outlet...lots of veggie/vegan food delights of all types...and this year due to the festival being popular, food traders are asking to come, which makes life a tad easier. And less greasy burger stalls too! Yuk!

So don't worry about food...I enjoy all that tasty veggie food out there at festivals too...yum yum

Here's to the summer!
