Taiwan breeds green-glowing pigs

By Chris Hogg

Scientists in Taiwan say they have bred three pigs that glow in the dark.
They claim that while other researchers have bred partly fluorescent pigs, theirs are the only pigs in the world which are green through and through.

There's no limit to what we'll accept in the name of "progress", is there

Maaaad... I actually heard about this a while ago at college. It is exactly the sort of experiments on animals that drive me mad really. So bloomin disrespectful of the natural world.
Seems to be just scientists playing their God games again... It is worrying though isn't it, some of the little games they seem to play with genetics?

I wonder what a normal pig would think of a luminous pig...

Love,
Sunny

i think its disgusting it makes my skin crawl in a similar way when i see a mouse with a bloody ear growing on it's back, its just plain wrong... but what i did wonder was when the pigs die, will their skin be used to make glow in the dark clothes and shoes.

...that's a thought....

maybe the glow stops when the pig is dead and the organs aren't working...
