Baby giraffe dies in fire

I'm really sad about this. Just last week it was on the news that the baby giraffe had been born, and it was the sweetest thing. Now it's dead :cry: What's going on??! It's mother also died.

That is a shame :( Sounds like it was quite lucky it didn't get any worse tho, I bet fire can spread very quickly in a zoo.

Yes, and though it's surely a horrid way to die, it's really little if any more sad / saddening than the avoidable death of any other creature.

I think we need an emoticon for a sad smile.
