View Full Version : Wine & the gathering...

Hoping this is the right place for this... Could equally go in the gathering forum, but it's more specifically to do with Vegans... Better get on with it...
I know that wine can be problematic for vegans and as I was thinking about booze for the gathering I went a'looking for something we could all enjoy without the whole "finings" issue.
These guys (http://www.purewine.co.uk) seem to have it sussed. I'll post something similar on the gathering thread about getting the damned stuff down there... :) But I thought it might be a welcome source here too. :)
Hope I'm not wrong.

Very thoughtful Brick! *insert pat-on-the-head smilie*

The availability of vegan wine these days amazes me, I think I've said this elsewhere but I always thought alcohol would be the last thing to follow the trend of veganism......

Would that be The George? I've been there a few times when I've visited Brighton. It's so nice to be able to go in a pub and get a vegan meal.

As far as I know all beers and lagers from the barrel aren't vegetarian because of the isinglass used in clarifying so it's impossible for the pub to be 100% vegetarian, but The George sells good vegan bottled ales.
