when I moved back to the city after the demise of my second marriage a friend wanted me to buy a boat-mainly so we could go fishing in it, but I couldn't find anything suitable to live in with my budget so I ended up in a rented bedsit.

Pretty certain that's a Sinclair body like one I missed on a Merc recently. Weight will be in excess of 3.5t so licence will be an issue for a lot of peeps. Great potential.

If I could turn the clock back 3 years (before I got royally stiched up with a similar purchase) I'd have this like a shot!!!

Not cheap, but a very practical, good looking bus in good nick with modern motor/box.....very desirable in my eyes.. Rodders.

Apologies VW...see if new link works....yes it appears ok

This is exactly why I don't get why people are so obsessed with getting a conversion classed as a Motor Caravan.

as presented are the key words, you tell the mot person it is a camper and they have to mot it as a camper only insurance and vosa are interested with the inside

I always though 'as presented' was as the tester found it. A VERY quick look in the back will show it's not a camper, curtains don't make it a camper. It must be registered as 16 seats or so as the advisories note there aren't any seats. Therefore the tester MUST have looked in the back.
If you take a 3.5 ton camper, without the fittings, to test it's a van and must have a class 7 test.
Also you can tell the tester (or have it on the V5) it's petrol, but if there's a Di fitted you get a diesel test. Tell the tester what you like they should give you a test on what they see.
