I have dated a trans lady and she was just a woman. A good old honest to goodness female. Her transition story was interesting, but that was only the start of her journey.

I can see both sides of this quite clearly.

We're all lovely, beautiful souls with a mix of energies in our hearts and minds. However, for people like myself (I identify as mostly straight) there is a time in our lives when we realise that we're attracted to one sex and not really to the other. The prospect of this clearly defined idea being challenged is both exciting and daunting.

I really don't see bigwoody as doing anything other than trying to understand and explore the non binary gender issue and it's my belief (please tell me if I'm right or wrong) that psychologically bigwoody is simply separating that out from the person that she is in order to explore and think.

There are a load of objectifying trans fetishists and I realise they cause a great deal of hurt to transsexual people. I don't approve of this at all, but I don't think bigwoody is one of them. I think there has to be some sort of safe area and space for people to open their minds to new possibilities so long as they treat others with respect.

Well I have never dated a transgender woman, but if the right girl came along then yes I would, problem I see is though, most people see transgender woman as sex objects, a quest to goto Thailand and have fun with the ladyboys, but why should they be treated any different to anyone else? I am a open minded guy and if I fell in love does it matter if it's a woman or a transgender woman? And the subject about sex, wtf is that about? Just woo her if you fancy her and when the time comes then happy days! Why does everything always have to have a label? Peace and love and all that eh! 😁 am I getting too old?!

I'm intrigued (And you don't have to answer this)but I was watching a show a couple of years ago, about british guys who travelled to Thailand,to meet up with their ladyboy girlfriends.Fine, but some of the british guys stated they were'nt gay. However, when they spoke to the "girlfriend"and asked if they would consider a sex change, they replied,no they would'nt because their "boyfriend"preferred then to have a penis???Hmmm I'm intrigued and confused lol
Tbh I'm definately not sure for example, why a guy would seek out a transgender who had a sex change to become a woman, when they could of dated a woman in the first place!

Again why does everything have to be labels? So does that mean I am gay because I said I would date a transgender woman? I couldn't careless what label people choose to give me, what about the guys who like their gf or wife to use a strap on or dildo on them, what label do they get?!! Well people do get hung up on things and if it's not for you then fine date a woman, no one will ever judge you and be happy, if someone dates a transgender woman then great, be happy and it would be cool if they never got judged, one day I suppose.

Tbh I don't like labels either but how else can you explain what you're talking about? You know what my pet hate is?(And I do have a couple of gay people in my family)I've noticed, during my life, when a gay person introduces themselves, why do they sometimes say..."Hi I'm (insert name)and I'm gay?"It makes no diff to me whether that person is straight, gay, transgender,or whatever.Straight people don't introduce themselves as straight right?lol Most people I know anyway don't give a flying fig if you're gay, straight,bi or anything else in between.

I can't explain it at all! All I know is, that if the right transgender woman came along and I felt that she is the right one for me, who am I to stop true love from happening all because of labels, also I would imagine (not that I know for sure and is purely a guess) that transgender woman would like 'straight' men and that 'gay' men would want gay men? And I have no idea why some gay men have to go out of their way to let the whole world know their gay! I also remember years ago in the 90's, their was a couple of gay guys living in the flat downstairs, and one of them tried to get disability because he was gay! Using the excuse that he couldn't handle day to day life because he was gay! He was a tosser but his boyfriend was a worker and a really nice guy, god knows what he saw in him!!

I have a transgender friend in Australia. He is a high school teacher. He was married (now divorced)and has two sons.Years ago,he started working at a new school. At that time,he was a guy.However.....a year in,he decided to embrace being a transgender, and started coming to work (school)dressed as a woman.Head master and teachers were horrified, and he was threatened the sack. The kids held a mass protest, and he kept his job!

I find that picture to be confusing.
Also, I wasn't aware transgender was a race or species.......

Likewise, just what is it about transgender fascination, unless they're in your face they're just another person, respect.

True, another person with good points and bad points the same as anyone. I would have no problem at all with socialising or working with a transgender person, but if I'm honest I very much doubt I would be sexually attracted and I'm not sure why - I completely understand that a lady can be born with the wrong "equipment", my lack of attraction says more about my failings as a person than theirs, but that's the way I am - something inside me says "no".

FFS ! How do you tell if some one is transgender ? Bungo looks well odd , but it did not put me off after a few cheeky drinks (that I had to pay for )

I couldn't tell until it had become intimate, but, like I wrote, something inside me says "no". I know it's my failing, but that's how it is and I won't pretend otherwise.

I had (rip) a friend who was at a party , back in the 70s , he was tripping, and he met a lovely girl , they spent the night a kissing and a cuddling , then he tried to take it a bit futrher . He was not a happy bunny what he found down her undercrackers !

So has anyone has any experiences with having sex with transgender?

I'm asking this because I'm meeting with a very keen gal tomorrow!
If you haven't what are your thoughts on it and would you like to do it with a transgender??
    Stay groovy !

I'm a bugger for wording things badly. I also tend to miss out half of what I want to say, and so what I say doesn't always match what I mean and how I mean it so I have totally sympathy with how you worded things!
I think it's clear you're not being a dick at all You seemed to be expressing yourself and giving relevant information so we could assist you in discovering your psychology on the matter.

Er, one who is on top! Ie the op was the one who ends up with a sore arse. Although i am informed by a gay guy that i know during a reasonably frank discussion that its only the first couple of inches that hurt, but he was laughing at the time.
