Cool Fun family things to do in....

    Somerset:

If you find yourself anywhere near Yeovil on the A303 then do definatley consider pausing your journey for a while in the very picturesque village of Montacute. Where you can find a beautiful stately home to mooch around but where also in the village you can find the

Absolutely brilliantly quirky museum with a vast collection of old radio and TV hardware and an epic collection of memorabillia - guaranteed trip down memory lane in a museum that would benefit from being in a properly designed exhibition space but if that were to happen would lose much of it's charm...

The back story is that the building itself has been used since the 1930's as a radio and bicycle repairs and sales shop which then moved into TV's as they came in, TV rental and repairs and then into a wider array of electrical hardware... the museum is placed in the old workshops and sheds at the rear of the shop and the exhibits are poked into every available space... loads of lifesized models of various TV/Film characters from over the years and a great spooky horror and scifi section!

You should have put it in the UK Hippy Tourist Centre which is sadly lacking in places to visit, definitely put the museum and country park on my list for next summer as me and Maude are going to Cornwall and back.
