For us, it depends what's in the bottle. We were given a bottle of Jägermeister last Xmas, and it was easy to ration, because it tastes like cough mixture, even when suitably diluted.
So easy to ration that we still have about a quarter of the bottle left today!
Some books are a bit like the Jägermeister, of course, but you can throw them out. But a bottle is..... different...

Yeah, seems like the Diggers were regarded pretty much as Commies when they first moved in, and after a long period of getting involved in bringing about their own nemesis by supplying free food to an ever-growing population, jacked out and escaped into the counntryside and began the communes that lasted only as long as there were people willing and able to keep them together. A very interesting period in US history, maybe even world history, in some ways.
