Yes, we've had pancakes from Gram flour for years now - delicious!

But not the best if you are visiting close friends the next day - Phew!

(Tip: Don't leave the Gram flour unused in a warm or damp spot and forget it; when you find it again months later it will have many little occupants!

Does parmesan last longer than cheddar unrefrigerated because it's a hard cheese I'm guessing it does ?

A bit , but still should be stored between 4-8 C if you want it to last any length of time once opened . Unopened should be OK for a while .

This one of my fave recipies. Such a go to recipe for me. Needs:
    Rice or equivalent of choice.
Tin of mixed beans (Asda organic are lush)
Tin or carton of chopped tomatoes
    Table spoon of smoked paprika
    A large onion.

Fry onion in oil to soften, add paprika and cook for one min, Add beans and tomatoes and simmer for 5 mins. Plonk on top of rice. Surprisingly tasty and super easy, healthy and all store cupboard fodder bar one fresh onion.

I freegan'd some grated mature cheddar weeks ago, 4kg from a food factory. Still have about 1kg left, unrefrigerated. It's still edible.

Two clay pots with inch or so difference works well as chiller. Buried to rim, place smaller pot inside, fill with sand between pots, keep sand damp and cover with wood to keep animals out.
