Now if it was for the O/H and she shared the same respect and put the lid 'up' after using then there may be some logic there, or not.

never bothered me one way or the other, being alone a lot I used to leave the seat up, but then I got married.....again, and the wife prefers it down so down it is.

I've always put the seat and lid down, and lock them, have you never seen "Slither"?

You might certainly notice that if the seat lid were down not up!!

It is a common thing of not washing hands, I was in a pub once and went to use the toilet, upon entering the toilet there was a queue for the urinal, the cubicle was being used and there was a drunk guy pissing in the one sink that was in there, I chose not to wash my hands on that occasion, I think I chose wisely.

The idea that money will leave the house if you leave it up?We used to put the lid down with a brick on top to stop the rats coming up.Our first loo though was like Gypsys but with a large and another smaller hole to fit all bottoms. We were all scared of that loo in case we fell down or a monster grabbed us on the loo.
