I'm in need of a pure sine wave inverter and the January sales might throw up a bargain , I'm thinking 300-500 watts will do me for now if anybody spots a deal I'd appreciate the info cheers.

I use a victron phoenix 800w / 12v pure sine wave. Looking for another to create a redundant setup. Also have a waeco 150w pure sine inverter works great for small things like laptop and led lights @ 240v.

The victron goes for around 295 Inc p+p and the waeco around 90.

I've had a cheaper non sine wave inverter didn't last long for continuous use.

Let us know how you get on with whatever you buy

I would only buy a German manufactured inverter made ie AIMS SMA or Sunway or Italian ie Helios or a US made inverter ie Platt (which i currently have) ive bought chinese inverters and theyve packed up pretty soon and sending them back under warranty wasnt economical. If youre going to fork out on one ,buy a good one.Good ones arent cheap.

Those Sterling refurb units from the ebay link are your best bet.

Cotek inverters are very good, I have one and just found a 1000w one on ebay for 75. Steal at that price.
