How much are you getting out of your solar panels?

Today, overcast, I was getting 0.3 Amps on the charge controller read out. On sunny days I'm getting between 1.5 and 4 .

2 panels, approx 120 long by 60 wide each.

Not too sure what I'm getting. I only have 40w of pannels at the minute. I only run a strip of LED's and a PC fan for extraction from my battery.

I steal electricity from work via my usb battery pack to run my phone.

I've only ran out of battery once though.

Just checked and I'm only getting 0.2A, but the sun has moved round behind the willow over the river.

Also, do you have fixed panels ( mine are fixed to the roof), or can and do you angle them towards the sun?

Mine are fixed to a sandwich board type of affair at around 45 and I move it around to follow the sun.

My controller doesn't seem to show amps so I've no idea.

I was considering upgrading my system as its only 40w. I had a voltage sensing relay for a split charger which I couldnt get to work.

Now I've resorted to a manual switching direct battery connection. It has a removable key for the switch so its tied to my keys. I cant leave the van without disconnecting.

3.6amp. Im guessing thats not bad as the panels are mounted flat on the van roof, its overcast and the van is down the side of the house.
