as skilled man I earnt 20 a week in 1969. petrol was 25p a gallon

He's not even much of a businessman, I've seen calculations that if he'd taken the money his Dad left him and invested it into the Standard & Poor 500, he would have more than twice the wealth he has today - and remember he's always been in the real-estate market which has boomed worldwide.

He's made some huge cock-ups, failed casinos, buildings, airlines, even Trump Steaks.

A M.A.D scenario for the average person/prepper would be unsurvivable..unless youve got your own hardened inderground complex like Cheyanne mountain or that under Denver airport with food to lsst 25 years minimum.....no point hunting for food or water it will all be toxic.

no, unless one is within the blast zone chances of survival are pretty good, if you don't have a government building or a military installation nearby again chances are good, the principal target would be America, Britain would only be targeted as an ally of the USA and again as I've said modern warheads are not as huge as the cold war ones, with more accurate targeting systems these days they don't need to be.
fallout would be a concern but that is dependant on wind flows and direction of prevailing winds.

Putin may be many things but he isn't stupid, he knows that in a nuclear war nobody wins and everybody loses.
Trump acts the buffoon but he wants to keep on the right side of Russia. someone once said "it is better to jaw-jaw than war war".
North Korea is something else but I doubt they even know where the UK is.

They don't have to know - they simply put their best attempt at a nuke into a shipping container and mail it to us. 6 weeks later a customs officer opens it up and vaporizes Southampton.

With the way self employed couriers operate, they will probably try to deliver it three times to the wrong address and then return the package to the sender, then deny all responsibility for the package

NK is a closed society they do not trade with us and any such container would be treated with suspicion and treated accordingly.

Most of western Europe wss contaminated irreversibly by a an explosion and fire at Chernobyl in the80's Most of Britsin was contaminated by a fire at windscale (sellafield ) in the 50's.Most of thenorthrrn hemisphere is cintaminated by a fire and explosion at Fukushima...three relatively small events.Arguably we're already suffering health effects of 520 atmospheric nuclear weapons tests of thr 50'sand 60's
If you discount that not all fifteen thousand nuclear wsrheads will be used and that there might be a small regional tactical .nuclear war there will still be sufficient nuclear isotope material in the atmosphere to cause radistion sickness and death to tens or hundreds of millions but the two decade nuclear winter and crop failures and disease that follow will be the big killer.
The problem with this little country is its erm little, there are targets all over the country many of them US controlled putting much of the population in potentisl fallout areas and nowhere to escape to should we be hit and with a very high chance of food and water supplies being rendered useless.
Should all 15000 warheads be usef thsts enough toxic fission material in the atmosphere to kill every mammal on the planet (us included) and several decades of adverse climate making food production impossible.
The lucky ones will be those incinerated by a blast.
Most of these survivable nuclesr war scenarios are peddled by war hawks convinced they can win a first strike scenario with only moderate casuslties.Much of what they say completely ignores the laws of physics, the natural behaviour of the upper and lower atmosphere and predominant weather patterns and the misguided concept that they can micromanage a nuclear war.
Years ago the MAD deterrent was sufficient to keep any such exchange in the range of possble but unlikely. Now theres nutters in various governments convinced its possible to limit nuclear wars to somewhere unimportant and that theyre winnable that only makes the probability of them much higher. The nuclear deterrent is no longer a deterrent.Nuclear options are coming to be part of any battlefield plan not a weapon of last resort....thatkind of mentality puts all at risk.

I have seen no evidence of the contamination you speak of, granted the Japanese power plant is still leaking into the sea, so just don't eat fish from there.
as I have said, modern warheads are much smaller than those used in Hiroshima and targeting systems are much better.
